Some people see more possibilities in the mundane than the average person.  Artist Vicente Guerena is one of those rare creative spirits whose vision results in beautiful art created from what can be found around us. At 78 years young, his vision and talent is as vibrant as ever.  Born into a family of modest means in East Los Angeles, his family couldn't afford to buy toys.  Out of necessity Vicente began to make his own.  He constructed bows, arrows, and forts among other things.
